Encompassed within the magical quadrilateral of Lake Garda, with the municipalities of Sirmione and Pozzolengo forming its vertical vertices and Desenzano and Peschiera its horizontal ones (the fifth municipality being Lonato), the Lugana appellation stretches along the morainic plain to the south of Lake Garda, straddling two provinces (Brescia and Verona) and two regions (Lombardy and Veneto).

A refined white wine from the lake region, Lugana has illustrious origins (its origins have been documented since the 18th century, though the winemaking tradition of these lands dates back at least to Roman times); it benefits from the lake’s favourable temperate microclimate. This wine is produced from deep clay soils and draws its character from Turbiana, a native grape variety that lends the wine remarkable ageing potential. On the nose, it offers delicate hints of wildflowers and citrus fruits, whilst on the palate it stands out for its vibrant freshness and distinct savouriness. A wine of exceptional quality that remains one of Italy’s most beloved wines today.
