The Festival

The Lugana Festival is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Sirmione and the Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC, with the aim of showcasing and promoting the region through one of its most authentic expressions: Lugana wine. The first edition, scheduled for 16 to 19th October 2026, will be a four-day journey through wine, culture, music, gastronomy and the local landscape.

Because tasting a Lugana is not just about getting to know a wine. It means discovering the land from which it comes, meeting its producers, understanding its traditions and exploring a landscape that, stretching from the southern shores of Lake Garda, forges links between different places, communities and identities.

Conceived as a widespread festival, it will involve the historic centre of Sirmione and the hamlets of Colombare and Lugana, transforming squares, palaces, bars and wineries into places for meeting and discovery. Wine will thus become the common thread through which to explore its surroundings: the landscape, the culture, the gastronomy and the people who help shape its identity every day.

The programme will include masterclasses and events at the Lugana Hub in Palazzo Callas, featuring tastings and meetings with producers, masterclasses led by professional sommeliers, tours, tastings at participating wineries and concerts. A shuttle service will enable visitors to travel from Sirmione to the Lugana DOC wineries, turning the tasting into a genuine experience of discovering the local area. Among the special events is a competition dedicated to local chefs, who are invited to interpret Lugana wine through their own culinary creations.
