The Territory
A unique area, blending heritage, culture and new experiences

A historic, cultural and artistic gem, Sirmione – situated in the province of Brescia on Lake Garda – is also known as the ‘Pearl of Lake Garda’ thanks to its enchanting sights. From the Grotte di Catullo to the Castello Scaligero, from the thermal baths to the enchanting beaches, right through to the streets, shops, museums and activities in the historic centre, Sirmione offers a unique blend of tourism, culture and art. Easily accessible by car and public transport – via coaches, shuttle buses and boats – and entirely exploreable on foot, Sirmione is a major tourist destination.

The Municipality of Sirmione has always invested in organising and promoting cultural events that showcase the local area. It is precisely along these lines that a new collaboration has emerged between the Municipal Administration and the Consorzio Tutela Lugana D.O.C., giving rise to the first edition of the Lugana Festival. It is no coincidence that the Lugana Festival has been conceived as a widespread festival capable of bringing to life Sirmione’s most iconic venues: the Palazzo dei Congressi, Palazzo Callas and the green spaces of this lakeside town, where concerts, live shows, discussions on art and wine, and tastings are scheduled to take place.
